Why I Created Keep Your Stories

I was ten years old when my father died. I never got to know him—not really.

No recordings of his voice. No letters in his handwriting. Just a few photos and an emptiness that has followed me my entire life.

I became an economist, a CEO, an entrepreneur. I built businesses and raised a family. But that loss—not knowing my father—never left me.

For years, I've watched families try to preserve memories digitally. Cloud storage. Hard drives. Apps that require passwords you'll forget in six months. I can't keep track of my own passwords—and I'm not alone. Most people can't.

Digital files disappear when companies go bankrupt. Cloud storage gets hacked. Hard drives fail. Passwords get lost.

But a handwritten letter? A physical card you can hold? A cassette tape that doesn't need a login? Those last forever.

I interview your parent FOR them—no technology skills required, no homework, no passwords to remember. We deliver everything physical: video recordings, audio cassettes, handwritten letters, memory cards you can touch.

I conduct the interviews personally. I know what it's like to lose someone without their stories. I won't let that happen to your family.

This is personal. This is my life's work.

Every interview is conducted personally by me—never outsourced to strangers or contractors. Your parent's are safe with someone who understands what it means to lose them.

You Know You Should Preserve Their Stories. But How?

Maybe you tried StoryWorth—and it's collecting dust. Your parent answered one or two prompts, then quit. Homework feels like a chore.

Or maybe you haven't tried anything yet. You keep putting it off because you know your parent won't record themselves on video—that feels awkward and strange. They won't sit down and write their life story—that's overwhelming.

They need someone to interview them. Someone to ask the right questions, guide the conversation, and handle the recording. So they can just talk—and their stories get preserved.

But not just anyone. Your parent needs someone they can trust. Someone who will keep everything completely confidential.

Someone who understands that these are intimate, personal stories—not content for strangers to access. This isn't a task you hand off to a contractor you found online.

Memoir writers charge $30,000 and take a year. You don't have that time or money.

You need someone todo it FOR them. Someone trustworthy. At a price that makes sense. RIGHT NOW.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about Keep Your Stories

What if my parent lives far away? +
We serve families nationwide via virtual interviews (Zoom). For South Florida residents (Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Miami), we offer in-person interviews at your parent's home.
What if my parent is shy or doesn't think their story matters? +
We've worked with hundreds of elders. Our interviewers are trained to make people comfortable and draw out stories naturally. Most parents LOVE talking once someone asks the right questions.
Can we include photos or documents? +
Yes! We offer photo scanning and archiving as an optional add-on ($150 per 100 photos). We'll digitize old photos and include them in the digital archive.
What if my parent mentions private family matters or inheritance topics? +
Your parent controls what goes in the final product. We review all content with them before delivery. If legal/estate topics come up, we pause and refer you to an attorney. We focus exclusively on life stories and memories—not legal or financial matters.
How long are the interviews? +
We conduct 3-5 interview sessions with your parent over several weeks, totaling 5-6 hours of recorded conversation. Each session is typically 60-90 minutes. We can schedule shorter or longer sessions based on your parent's comfort and energy levels. All interviews are professionally transcribed and edited, and your complete keepsake package is delivered within 6 weeks of the final interview.
What if my parent gets tired or needs breaks? +
Absolutely. We work at your parent's pace. Interview sessions can be shortened, split up, or rescheduled as needed. We always prioritize their comfort and energy levels.
Do you delete the recordings after delivery? +
Yes. All interview files are permanently deleted from our systems 30 days after delivery for your family's privacy and protection.
What's your cancellation/refund policy? +
Full refund if you cancel before the first interview. After interviews begin, we prorate based on work completed. See full terms in service agreement.
Can we add more sealed letters for family members? +
Yes! Our package includes sealed letters to immediate family. Additional letters can be added for $50 per letter. Your parent can write as many personal messages as they'd like.
